Breathe Architecture reinforces sustainable initiatives with recycled business card printing

Breather Architecture Business Card

Smart, green initiatives are essential for the world we live in today - the less resources used, the less impact is had on the environment.

Sustainable design and building is the way of the future, and Australian company Breathe Architecture has this idea on lock when it comes to their projects.

The Victoria-based business holds quality and style central to their "unique sustainable designs". Implementing environmental principles helps to create visually-stunning buildings that have a "lighter footprint".

Breathe Architecture has been at the helm of many innovative projects across the residential, commercial, hospitality and retail sectors. Their work includes Yarrawonga Monash University, Captain Melville restaurant and bar in Melbourne, Seven Seeds Cafe, Lulamae Pop-up Shop and Melbourne Central Plant Room and Undercroft.

The business incorporates a number of initiatives into their designs including passive solar design, grey water systems, double glazing, natural cross ventilation, super insulation, gas-boosted solar hot water and minimum-impact, low or no-toxicity materials.

With these eco-friendly principles in place, it's not hard to see why Breathe Architecture has a number of accolades to its name. The company was recognised with the Hospitality and Designer of the Year titles at the Interior Design Excellence Awards (IDEA) in 2012. It also received a high commendation for sustainability at the 2012 Houses Awards and the 2012 commendation for interior architecture from the Australian Institute of Architects (AIA). These are just a snippet of awards that the company has received for sustainable architecture and design.

Further supporting their green business practices, Breathe Architecture opted for recycled business card printing. The design of the cards is simple, but effective, implementing an 'organic' colour scheme of sand, khaki and teal. The designs were completed with the method of clean green printing using vegetable-based inks on 100 per cent post-consumer recycled 350gsm EcoStar paper.
