How to export artwork for print in Adobe InDesign
In this tutorial, we demonstrate how to export artwork for print in Adobe InDesign. We show the PrintTogether recommend settings:
- Use Adobe preset [PDF/X-4:2008]
- In ‘Compression’ set all to ‘Do not downsample’ to keep high dpi of images
- In ‘Marks and Bleeds’ tick Crop Marks only and at the bottom set bleed to 5mm on all sides top, bottom, left and right.
- In ‘Output’ set PDF/X Output Intent Profile Name to: Coated Fogra39
It wasn't mentioned in the video however we recommend leaving all images as sRGB. PrintTogether will convert them to CMYK for you. This fewer the conversions the more true the colour will be.
