Product tags for The Good Brew Co.

With an environmentally focused upbringing and a love of great beer, Dean O'Callaghan (aka Deano) found himself searching for a better - and greener - approach to a good brew.

Thus, The Good Brew Co. was born. Not only are the drinks produced from this microbrewery environmentally responsible, they're a favourite among those looking to squeeze a few extra vitamins out of their beverage.

It all came about when Deano learned just how harmful traditional beer production methods can be. At over 3​ kgs of greenhouse emissions per six-pack, the usual processes can cost the environment more than you'd think - even after recycling the bottles. So with the help of solar energy, organic beer and soft drinks and a delivery method that involves a tricycle, Deano has created a business that offers a guilt-free drinking experience.

One of the products available at The Good Brew Co. is kombucha, a 2,000-year-old tea that's gaining momentum in the western world. Kombucha comes from fermented, sweetened tea. The Good Brew Co. makes it with pure spring water, organic sugar and sencha green tea, culminating in a delicious and refreshing living probiotic drink, which is both an excellent mixer and a powerful hangover cure.

The Good Brew Co. needed product tags for their kombucha, which is where PrintTogether was able to step in.

Deano decided to reduce waste and the need for an adhesive by designing a product tag instead of a sticky label. The tag is specifically sized to get the best use of paper from a full sheet with very little waste. The artwork flows from one side to the other to create a continuous image when put side by side. Packaging in this way also allows the potential reuse of both the bottle and the label without any need for waste.

Printed using vegetable-based inks on 350gsm EcoStar 100 per cent post-consumer recycled paper, PrintTogether was able to find a solution for the product tags as eco-friendly as the product itself. As a bonus, these tags are easily detachable and work as something of a keepsake for their attractive design and helpful reminder of the kombucha experience.
