According to myth, way back in the 17th century a man by the name of Baba Budan journeyed from Yemen to India with seven fertile coffee seeds strapped to his waist. Because of his daring smuggling mission, he is said to have brought coffee to India. Seven Seeds used this story as inspiration to name their coffee brand. The company consists of a micro roaster and cafe in Melbourne, with products and beans available to buy online.

Seven Seeds understands that coffee beans are seeds from a fruit, so they tailor what they offer to the seasons. The cafe for the brand is on Berkeley Street in Melbourne's CBD. The Seven Seeds team works together with the people who run the cafe to ensure the food and service matches the quality of the coffee. The square cards are printed with 100 per cent post-consumer recycled, vegetable based inks on 350gsm EcoStar paper. The cards have a simple and modern aesthetic that's a bit playful. 'Seeds' has been flipped upside down, as has the tree on the back. The quality, clean design sticks to raw and earthy colours with a hint of colour in the orange seeds - the most important part of their brand.
