Swinging into Melbourne Spring Fashion Week
We all know that Melbourne is leading the way in contemporary fashion. To help celebrate Melbourne Spring Fashion Week we teamed up with the City of Melbourne to produce some of the most simple and delightful swing tags you've ever seen - all in the name of fashion, of course.
The tags consist of 366 gsm boxboard, which makes for a rustic, organic finish that lent a natural air to the recent event. This is 100 per cent post-consumer recycled and features vegetable-based inks for an extra eco-friendly touch.
The event ran from 30 August through to 7 September this year, with around 213 events throughout Melbourne. With aims to increase visitation to the city to indulge in a spot of shopping and dining, the 2014 benchmark for attendance was set at 45,000 people based on 2013 figures.
Each year the event contributes millions to the city's economy, so organisers have to put their best foot forward in order to maximise this spending potential. Perhaps our upmarket swing tags, featuring a message connecting items to the show, played a part in this!
Melbourne's retail, design and fashion industries are well and truly on show during Melbourne Spring Fashion Week, which is the major consumer event of the season. This year's show served as a launch pad for Spring/Summer 14/15 ready-to-wear collections, as well as highlighting the Victorian capital as a fashion mecca. It wasn't just shoppers who got in on the action - up and coming fashion designers and models had a ball of a time, alongside their established peers. There were runways, workshops, parties, fashion films and exhibitions throughout the duration of the event, and we were more than happy to be involved.
